This is the final stage
Before you obtain your license
The instructor and the pupil will together decide when and where the test will be booked. This is providing that the pupil is at the test standard.
- Pupil needs to pass the theory test first.
- The practical driving test is quite challenging. The candidate is expected to demonstrate high standards of driving in the 40 minute assessment. Due to the high standards, the candidate is unlikely to get away with any deficiencies in the practical test syllabus.
- That is why the average national pass rate stands at 47% and 40% in London.
- We are proud to achieve an incredible 95% first-time pass rate while learning safe driving for life.
- The practical test is usually 38-40 minutes long
- Performed under all possible road conditions
- All pupils are required to take an eye sight test prior to the practical driving test
- The examiner will ask one “tell me” question before driving and one “show me” question on the road
- The test will cover one manoeuvre and an emergency stop if required by the examiner
- There are no dangerous or serious driving faults allowed in this test
- However, the candidate is allowed to have 15 minor faults
- At the end of the test, the examiner will offer a debrief. You are allowed to have the presence of your instructor during the debrief if you wish
